Moravian Karst: Punkva Caves and Macocha Abyss
About Moravian Karst
The Moravian Karst is the largest and best developed karst territory in the Czech Republic and features the broadest spectrum of karst formations in the country. Four caves located in the most heavily visited northern part of the Moravian Karst are open to the public: Sloupsko-Šošůvské, Balcarka, Kateřina and Punkva Caves. Punkva Caves, which offer boat rides along the underground Punkva Stream, is the most popular with visitors.
The guided tour through Punkva Caves also features the legendary Macocha Abyss.
The bus will leave from the venue after the lunch on Friday (14:30) and will return in the evening (about 19:30). Warm clothes is preferred.
The average temperature in the cave is about 4°C and the duration of the cave visit is about 1 hour.
The capacity is limited.
The trip is for free but it is necessary to register in the workshop registration form (there is a special item to register for this trip).
